Why is pink a girls color?

Did you ever think of how/ why we have 'boys' colors and 'girls' colors?

Or even more why blue is for boy's and pink is for girls?

After a google search I found a link which lead me to HERE (which is where I got all my information)

Did you know that pink was actually a boy color until the World War?! And blue was a girls color!
Assigning pink to an individual gender began in the 1920's (or earlier) from than until the 1940's pink was a boys color!

Why?

Pink was related to red and was the more masculine and decided color! While blue was considered appropriate for girls cause it was considered a delicate and dainty color, or related to Mary (Jesus mother)!!!

But it changed cause of the World War! Red being a Nazi symbol!!!
I tried finding more information about why/how it happened to change, but obviously it did!

I just thought I would share this intresting information! :)

Did any of you know pink used to be a boys color before you read this post?
