I won the giveaway @ Old Fashion girl! I won the Marie Madeline Studio Jumper pattern and fabric to make it!! I 'm really excited! Does anyone have any good fabric ideas?? I'll do more of a post later (I'm at my brothers house)

I googled, How to spell, "A Simple Farmgirl." in German? I found a google website with a text box that you can translate your name into a different language. Some of the languages had a voice recordings on how to say it! lol, for my name some of the language spell it the same as the English way,they prounced it different,but spell it the same!

My sister started a blog!

Has anyone ever seen these movies? The oldest daughter in both of these movies are the same actresses! Also the oldest daughter in these movies has  a boyfriend that is played by the same actor! I really like the oldest daughter in both of these movies!But I do like Family Band a little better then the other movie!

Yellow Jacket Infested!

There was about 5 Native American Yellow Jackets upstairs in the kitchen! Wow, I thought we've never had this many in the kitchen before, so I killed them and went downstairs on the computer( that sounded kind of blunt)! Then my younger sister came up from the basment and said, Blythe,come down here now! I was thinking,Oh,great now whats wrong! And I went downstairs and there was about 20 or more Yellow Jacketsflying everywhere! So my mom called the pest controll and their coming soon!  * sigh of relief*

My dad discovered a nest under our porch which is brick and they thought about calling the pest guy,but didn't exactly decide! 2 days later(which is today) they decided!

Dear heavenly Father,
I pray for my dear friend that you would comfort her in this time of loss! I pray for her family members,that you would also comfort them. I pray that you will give me wisdom on what to say,how to comfort her and be of help.

My Finished Purse!

I finished my purse. What do you think? My mom liked it! I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

I put a meduim size pocket in it and I put a pocket that I sewed,so it has 3 pencil/pen holders. A phone or MP3 player  pocket and a pocket you could put a pad in or an ipod!

Sewing Project!

Besides school that I'll be starting hopefully this week(Yes, I'm weird by getting excited about starting school), I'm going to be doing a sewing project!!  A purse to be more specific! What do you think of my fabric choices?? (the light blue fabric is for the inside.)

End Of Summer Showers & Sibling Quality Time!

It might sound weird,but I like the end of summer. It's cooling off and  some rain showers! The last 3 days it's been kind of gloomy and raining a little here a there! Well, I had to go out and trian my pony and theres no better way to do it then in the rain! It was fun except there was billions of flies when your by the barn! So on the way back from the barn what song pops into my head??? Singing in the Rain of course!  So I started singing ( and spinning with arm spread out) : ) Then a little later me and my  little sister were outside spinning, singing, and getting all wet together! But seriously what a fun way to make memories with your little sister!

Go do something fun with your younger sibling and make a memory! It's amazing spending just a few minutes or hours ; ) of doing something fun with a sibling will make your sibling smile all day ........and she'll (or he) will ask you,"when it rains again do you want to do that again."............

You: Uh...maybe! *Grins*

So if its singing and dancing in the rain,doing a puzzle,playing cars or dolls do something fun with them!

I know sometimes we think they are,so annoying and they bug you to do stuff to much,but I remember doing that to my older siblings and the delight when every once in a while they would say,Yes! My best memories growing up were when my older siblings and I would do something fun together! We would play in the tall brush in our big backyard,or play tag at 8:30 in the summer! lol, once my 2 older siblings and I were being very bad. It was in the summer about 9:30 at night and we had a trampoline behind the house, where we also have a sliding glass door on the back of the house ! We would jump and our dad would hear us, stick his head out the door to see what it was and since we could see him coming to the door we would hurry up and lay flat on the trampoline and he would be looking around then shut the door and walk away and then we would get back up! It was very fun....well,until we got caught! I think we got caught cause we couldn't muffle our giggles! Or play bad mitten in the house in the winter, at night ( 8:00) when you all are in the giggle mood! 

So go make some memories and have some fun!

Cause I'm going outside to play P-I-G (A type of fun basketball game for all kinds of ages) with my 3 younger siblings!

A New Puppy Named Jade!!

My sister bought this cute little puppy named Jade! She's a chihuahua! I honestly didn't really want my sister to get one since it would have to live in our room!  I was thinking, 'they're so ugly'! But after meeting this cutie and I don't think, so any more! I love her coloring don't you?

Pretty flowers!

My camera has been broken,so I've been using my brothers(whose been very nice for letting me use it)!!

Last night I used my parents camera. I changed the settings and finally figured out a setting that took these awesome pictures!

I hoped you liked them! This is one of our very pretty flowers! These pictures don't do it justice! God knew what He was doing when He gave us such a pretty and innocent looking flower!

Well,here are the fair photo's I promised!! I have like tons and tons of photos,but I just photo-shopped some of them and put them on my blog cause it would would take me a while to fix the photos and upload them on my blog! Well,enjoy!

We were rushing to grab our costumes when they already started! It was extremely hot we were hoping we wouldn't miss showmanship classes(another reason we were rushed)! My sister didn't have time to put on the goats pioneer doll dress ! In which the goat is probably greatful! ; )

Here's me as a very pathetic Indian I must say! I didn't have time to put on the goats war paint,so all she had was 2 Indian necklaces!  After they placed everybody I rushed back into my showing outfit and ran back to the arena/barn!

Tomatoes,Beans, and our first Watermelon!

The Picture below is everything,but the skin and seeds after it went through our juicing machine(I don't know what you call it)                                         

The picture above is when were smashing the tomatoes down into the blender part! Every ones favorite part of this process!

We cook the sauce all day with herbs until it thickens.  I stirred the sauce then to a picture, that's why it looks kind of weird!

Here's the beans we got out of one row on our first day of picking beans! lol,we pretty much at all of them before my dad got home that evening!

My next post will be fair pictures I promise! A few horse pictures,but mostly my sister and I when we were showing goats! And pictures of a new pet to our tiny farm (if you can call it a farm)  ; )

Update on upcoming posts ; )

This is the month of August and at the beginning of the month our beans needed to start being picked (and still need to keep on being picked).Also, right now we have I think we have about 80 tomato plants,so......
80 tomato plants + the month of August + jars + herbs = Tomato sauces! Yup! My parents were gone yesterday afternoon,so my older sister started washing, slicing tomatoes,and etc...  My lil' sister and I started helping(it was mostly done by my 2 sisters, I was washing the floor and stuff. note: My sister  was smashing/making the juice stuff  outside) and today after it has been cooking on low for a loooong time, its time to add spices and herbs! So my house smells like tomatoes,herbs,and spices!! We also successfully grew a watermelon that's the size of the store bought ones and tastes as good too! We actually have about 5 growing,but 2 days ago we picked the one that was full grown! We always used to grow  like one or 2 extremely tiny ones that had about a big handful of pink fruit inside! So I'll be doing a post with pictures soon! My sister is also getting a puppy tonight that is staying in my room! ; 0

Random post and an idea for a blog contest/blog party!

While I was cleaning,  and my little sister and I were also helping my older sister make tomato sauce. We were  listening to music and singing along at the same time, ( we do this actually whenever we are cleaning  or on the road)! I was thinking about how fun it would be to go to nursing homes and sing hymns for people there etc....! Like the Wissmann and Bontrager families! But  we (my sisters , brothers and I) might hurt the people's ears that we are singing to though.  : ) I'm not the best violinist or singer! But if we were good at music I think that would be, so much fun! By the way, I know this is a totally random post!


Hey, wait I got an idea if I hosted a talent show/blog contest how many of you would enter?? ( I just thought this up as I was typing this post out)...  Here's what we could do, the ones who enter will take a video of themselves playing an instrument, singing or something like that and then I'll link them in a post and put up a poll on my sidebar for you all to vote for the best one!!  What do you all think?? 


I would type out  rules and things you are allowed to do etc.... but that is just what I came up with so far! Please comment if that sounds fun to you and then I'll probably do it if enough of you comment saying you would do it!

Fair

Well, it was an extremely hot week! I only brought my camera the first day and the day I did a goat show! I'll put more photos up soon! I unfortunately missed a day that only  my sister went to feed the goats. I stayed home to make cookies for a contest the next day(Which I got 2nd in by the way ; )  ) But the day I missed was the day all the horses and riders got into costumes! And my sister didn't bring her camera! Oh,well!
we sold 2 goats in which I'm happy there gone,so we can start getting some barn space! I don't mean that in a mean way,but since you've had 7 baby goats in 2 months and your barn is kind of crowded and your sister plans to breed in the fall....... you get the idea! (at least I hope you do ; p )
So for 4-H I got 1st in Showmanship and 4th in Dairy goats! In open class showmanship I did horrible since its based on your age Not experience! The judge placed 3 people and the other 3 (one of which was me) all got second!  But here are some photos..(I'll post more at the end of the week..I'm going to try to stay of the computer for a few days)

This horse was wonderful and beautiful! Her head kept in the perfect position pretty much the whole entire time!A Friend waiting her turn to ride!In the photo contest I saw this cool photo! I love the bird shadow. Don't you? They choose these photos horribly. The bad ones got good places and the good photos (like the one  above) got nothing!

Someone I know did like 4 pretty paintings(They all were different from each other) But I liked this one!

My sisters regency dress actually got 1st,but the person who put the ribbons on  didn't read the placing list they put up I guess!

I loved this cute painting. I wish I could paint like this!

This cute quilt would go perfectly in someones sewing room as a wall quilt!

I saw this horse out of the corner of my eye while watching my friends ride. So of course I snapped a picture not realizing until right now that his tongue was hanging out!
