ice,fog and piano guys

On a very fogging morning my siblings,mom,and I were off to go ice skating,since it was my little brothers first time ice skating I thought I'ld bring along Toby. =)
Samuel is 'very' athletic,so I was curious on how he'ld do since he knows how to roller blade.

(adoreble sister,she knitted that sweater all by herself.)

 

While we were waiting out side for my mom I took some photos cause the fog was simply amazing,I wanted to do a photoshoot in the stuff seriously it was that cool!

 

                                                       Shes not such a bad photgrapher either. ;)
                     Headband: from Rue21 and is very itchy,thanks to my sis for letting me borrow it.

Samuel did fantastic even played in a game of broom ball.

 

It was a fun day,but it got better when we got home. ;)

 

"The story on how I got the Piano guys cd."

 

Okay, so my mom ordered a special flour for us kids with allergies from amazon.

I brought the package inside and opened it,(hahaha)well the cd was in there with the flour. My mouth literally dropped open and I held  it up to my siblings not believing my mom got it! My siblings of course used common sense and told me it was probably my birthday gift (oops now I did it!). Well,duh, blonde me a little nervous cause I opened the package without asking my mom first. I shoved the cd back with the flour in the box and put it down stairs. When my mom came in I told her I put just took the whole thing down stairs and asked if she wanted it out of the box. ;) She said yes,cause the boys were burning boxes (my plan was working so far.),so I brought up the box,purchase slip and the cd (which was behind my back.) I threw the box outside then turned to my mom asking if she wanted the slip,she replied no. Oka,y I thought,now the cd,so I asked do you want this?! Yeah, I gathered from my moms reaction it was a birthday gift and that is how I got the piano guys as an early birthday gift! =)

Scared because in one week I'll be 18,an 'adult'. Yikes when did I get that old!

 

 

 

contentment..........

                          Contentment! A major struggle of mine lately.

                                     Evey feel like some has more then you and its not fair?!

 I often feel this way,I wouldn't consider myself wealthy not in the least,but to 90% of the world I'm wealthy!

                I may not have my own laptop, Ipod touch,alot or the most fashionable clothes,I may not have the same body type smaller girls who don't need to watch what they eat,I may not have that winning smile that gets people everytime,or that perfect hair,but I know I'm loved and made the way God wanted me and He supplies my needs.

I often look at laptops or cooler cameras,or the girls on blogger who take people pictures all the time and think man, if only I could have that,but I soon realized that whatever we get we always want more.
I envyed girls with dslr cameras, I've had mine for a year and already I'm checking out what other girls have that it is better.(I know the camera isn't what makes the photographer,but hey it helps.)
 I prayed long and hard for my Toby,and I'm blessed to have him,why should I be so discontent?!


Envy and Discontentment go together causing trouble where ever they go,getting at peoples human nature and leaving them wanting more.

           Lord,
               Teach me to be content,to bloom where I'm planted. To not want more then I have,because 90% of the world has less,most of them work everyday, long ,hard and bearly have enough money for food much less all the luxuries I have. Help me to be humble and not look lustfully at others worldy possesions,or what others have money to do and just be thankful I have money to live.

Birthday card DIY

                       
            I was making a Birthday card (for a friend) it turned out so cute that I was glad I took step by step photosto share with you all. :)

You'll need:

 3 different styled papers

 about 6 inches of twine,string,or yarn  

a plain white card

scissors

pen




Out of 1 of the styled papers cut 3 flags and the second 2 more flags. The last piece of paper you'll cover half the card with.

               Decide which way you want to present your card.

Up right or................

                  To the side.

          Line up your 5 flags in whatever pattern you want (every other flag or the ends are the same and the middle is the same..etc...) Then write H-A-P-P-Y.

 

 

Position the flags the way you want them then in the center above place two dots close together.

 

 

Add your twine (string,yarn,or whatever your using.)

 

Tie it into a bow! :)

 

 

Glue one by one your flags on and the end half.

Write "Birthday" in the center of the end half.

                                  Make your letters more 'full' to cause a more dramatic effect.

                                                                   Ta Da!!


                                                  So go make yourself a card. =)

Valentines inspiration for the stay at home daughters

         

           This may seem early and most of don't want to think about this holiday yet,but I thought this may get your minds thinking and giving you plenty of time to prepare for this holiday.
I know alot of you are stay at home daughters in their later teens or early 20s that don't have boyfriends and some of us aren't even ready for one,but yet you still long for the flowers that you know your Daddy gives your Mom and can't wait for that to be you. I think alot of us girls think about Valentines day way to much as a holiday the single people hate and want to bury their heads in the sand until its over.

But with some inspiration from a friend,I plan this year to make a special valentines day dinner for my family and because of Jesus' love for me, I can serve and love my family cause I know there is a guy out there that did and still does love me with a passion that He died for me and Valentines day actually  reminds me of my strong and brave prince who gave to me out of love,so now I want to give out of love as well, through my 'labors of love'.

               So for this Valentines day how about you, plan out a menu,decor,etc.... for your family it doesn't have to be as fancy as the photo above (trust me I wish I had money and talent to make/do that.)

                              Plan something you know everyone will love and add a twist.

                                                         -Pizza with heart pepporoni-

-Whoppie pies with 'pink' filling-

-Decorate table and surroundings-

Just have fun with it and make it special and memorable.

one resolution...

           I wasn't going to make any resolutions this year at all because I find them point less, I mean if you have a goal/something you want done just get it done. Resolutions always come across as things you'ld 'really' wish to accomplish,but don't get diciplined enough or don't have time to make the extra effort for,thus they never get done.
                                 I only have one resolution;
                      "Live life to its fullest cause you never know when God will call you home."

                                 Now in case you were wondering what I was talking about a few posts ago let me tell you since you probably already know, if you were paying attention,which if your like me you didn't. :p  I'm changing this ole' blogs name .....again...I know,but they say the 3rd time is the charm.. right?! I think that is what they say anywho, I think I'm totally keeping this name,so everyone please welcome "Confident Me"!!!
          I can be confident because of who is in me and with me always,because He'll never leave me nor forsake me.


The rest of the surprise (cause I think I let on there was more) is actually another blog I'm working on, which isn't finished. :D
But its getting there,so I'll be revealing that blog as well asap,I'll give you a hint on its purpose though, in one word 'evagalism' okay, did I give it away?! Not totally I hope.
