Using your imagination....

It was an awesome day to do photos and I've been meaning to do a warrior type of one. My black forest princess idea that I mentioned (cause I made up a hairstyle and thats where my inspiration came from) I'm still trying to figure out an outfit for it,but I decided to use the indian outfit that my sister made me for christmas 2 years ago today cause it was to perfect and I was in the mood.

Agh,I really need to work on the proper way to hold a bow!

and make a bow instead of using my brothers store bought one.

The weather wasn't very good after lunch,so

1. I'm glad I'm home schooled,so I could do this before getting home around 3:30 like the neighbor kids do.

2.I'm glad I thought to do this,and did it before lunch.

Oh, hold it. I thought for my monthly fashion challenges,I'll have guests post and stuff instead of it just being me.

Like other people write out the post and have photos of their outfit and their theme for it! And then maybe I'll ask them to share like fashion and hair tips for whatever season it is and they'll send it all to me and I'll post it!

I'm doing the 1st month,but if anybody is interested in doing a guest post just send me an email.

I'll give the basic rules,(what you can't wear ....no see through,low cut,tight clothes,no goddy jewelry or loads of make up etc...)

If anybody wants to do the month June that month is the month that I was going to take photos of my outfit and my followers enter a name or theme for it and vote for the best one,just so you know!

Ready...Set....Decorate...

When we move, we'll be near my grandparents house (we'll 45 minutes at least),so we'll finally get to see them on holidays! :)

But anyway my dad was down there for work stuff an our grandma gave him a little spring cookie decorating kit for us kids,so I decided to take photos of 3 of my siblings and I doing them!

Proud lil' Sam,he loved his cookies!

he decorated 3 and asked me to put them in a tupperware and he hide them in the kitchen,so a certain growing older brother couldn't eat them before our mom got home!

Can anyone say scary!!!

Lydia spelled her name with sprinkles! I started to do that with different sprinkles,but it wasn't very fun,so I didn't do it! If you're going to decorate cookies let it be fun as I say!

Ethan decided to join us..and yes I made him put an apron on,cause it added to the effect I thought! :)

Samuel was actually smart without knowing he was being smart (if that made any sense) he had a purple cookie..he mixed to different colored frostings on his cookie in result the color was purple! :)

I'm very uncreative I must say,so any creative cookie on that sheet was most likely done by a sibling of mine not me! :)

Are computers broken and I don't like working on my moms laptop,so there will probably be a slight lack of posting here!

Resurrection Day

              "Jesus didn't die for us,He Gave Himself for us."
                       "They didn't kill Him,He Gave Himself."

This is kind of a cool gospel sharing button I found on Photobucket.

Kind of contradicts what I said above,but He still went through extreme physical pain for us,but it was cause He gave Himself for us that He could die for us...making any sense?!

Remember that Jesus gave Himself for you don't ever think light of that!

Why do we Celebrate "Easter"??

Now the post title may sound a little weird. I'm not questioning why we celebrate Christ's rising from the grave. If Christ didn't come back to life our faith would be nothing. I'm questioning why we call the day Easter.

Apparently there an ancient pagan goddess of Spring, called Eastre, had a festival in the Spring. I checked several places about the origin of the Easter bunny and the eggs and found a few different stories. A few websites said that rabbits and birds were symbols of fertility and that's why it was used in the pagan celebration of Spring. On the other hand, while reading my rabbit 4-H handbook, I do a rabbit 4-H project every year, it said that the pagan goddess Eastre transformed a bird into a rabbit. This rabbit was so thankful for the transformation that laid some colored eggs in gratitude.

So, why do Christians still call our celebration of Christ's Resurrection "Easter"? Most of the sources I read agreed that the Christians had used the celebration of the Resurrection to replace the pagan Springtime festival--both occurred around the same time. And because of that, we ended up with the name "Easter" and the bunny and eggs as well.

So . . . why do Christians still call it Easter? I don't know about you, but I'm going to call this Sunday "Resurrection Day."

Yes,I have a temper,yes it's called anger,yes,the Bible has some thing to say about is

                 Anger...we all have a anger issue I think,some more extreme then others,but we all have trouble controlling anger none the less. Right?

You know how you read a verse and it just penetrates your heart?

Or when it pierces your soul?

Or when it slices through your heart and cuts it into four's and then burns them which sets your soul on fire and that burns up......and....well I read a verse and it didn't do that.

          *pause for affect*

I read a verse in my quiet time that touched my soul...calmly and saying looky at that verse.
the verse was;

Proverbs 15:1
               "A Soft Answer turns Away Wrath, but a Harsh Word Stirs up Strife."

And this verse kind of hit me (touched me),I don't know why, I've heard this verse before,but it did.

But I thought how true this is. When your upset at a sibling and you yell at them they will more then like give you a dirty look,yell back,slam a door,etc... and be upset which cause more problems.
But if you calmly and quietly ask them to leave or stop something,they don't usually get angry back, right? You may have to ask a few times,but it usually leaves unhurt feelings within you relationship with them.

Sometimes you can look at that person in the eyes and say," that is very annoying can you please stop."
if you have a stubborn sibling that loves to annoy,try to ignore them (I know our parents tell us to do,so all the time don't they.) Or you could tell them 'you are really trying not to loose your temper and yell at them.'

Have you ever noticed how much you get angry? The Bible tells us that when we get angry we commit murder in our heart. Yikes!! If you think about it that way you and I are pretty deadly killer.

As I pondered this verse I thought of how anger ruins,so many important things.
Your relationships for example(well,so far I've been using siblings as my examples), relationships are important and anger and harsh words hurts you and the person you say them too.

I know that when a sibling is not feeling well or are just feeling crabby and they snap at me,I'm hurt.
Example,If I ask where the camera is and I didn't hear their reply,so I ask again and that person snaps at me for no real reason other then their not in a good mood.
I'm hurt and feel like snapping back.

But that can make us feel grumpy. Now lets reverse it,your grumpy and some ask you where something is,you are agitated that they asked you in the first place and you mumble irritatedly you don't know and then they ask again ..............now it's easy to just do what you feel,but that would our human nature which is a sinful nature.

It's, so simple to just calmly reply in a clear voice that you have no knowledge on where the item is.
But yet,some how our irritation causes us to speak harsh words to those be love.

Anger does stir up Strife and causes problems. But a soft answer can and does turn away wrath!

                   So I'm going to give you a challenge. Control your anger and try to answer in a soft response when you're angry.
You know that phrase,
"A lady should never raise her voice any louder than a gentle hum of a whispering wind."
That's kind of true.

          I want to honor God with my actions and getting angry at someone I have no right to be angry at (even if the world thinks that you do have something to be angry at you really don't.)

                       Proverbs 15:1 is giving me a challenge and I'm going to do my best to control myself.
Not to yell,or call names when a sibling irritates me, uses or ruins my things,but calmly and quietly speak to them,to show that I love them,but also speak with words that say how displeased I am or hurt that have taken something and broke it and it was important to me.

Remember this verse, memorize it (I'm going to) and think of it when anger,irritation,and other things start to swell up inside you.

P.S. Remember what Jesus did for us today. (Or what He did for us I don't know if today is the exact day,but it's the day that everybody has on their calender.)

My regency dress....

Well, I'm pretty much finished with my dress! I need to do the buttons and hem it! But my mom doesn't have the right size buttons,so I might pin the back and wear a sweater for Resurrection day AKA Easter.

The photos aren't very good and there is only one of the dress. I'm just to eager to show you all!
Since this is my first regency dress I made...for me that is!

Naturally I made a matching hair piece! :)

I hope to do a photo shoot when ever it warms up! Its really cold,wet and MUDDY!

My new etsy shop!

I finally started my etsy shop!! :) "A Farmgirls Boutique."

I'm so excited! I have only 5 items listed,so we'll see how it goes! I'm on my knee's, with hands folded and prayers going up to my amazing heavenly Father.
