Bridal hair tutorial......

This is one of those hairstyles I showed you and said I was going to start working on!

I made it kind of similar, more like I made it with the basic idea of this hairstyle!

My model's hair wasn't in very good condition...to much pool time if you know what I mean!

I smothered her hair in conditioner, rinsed, and then blow dryed, but it needs some time to get back to being smooth and happy! :)

So it wasn't exactly working for me and my 'Heat protecting spray' got dumped while in Williamsburg,so  the curls didn't turn out the best!

But anyway your getting the idea,so let me just put it in black & white...

This tutorial isn't the best, but enough for you to see what to do..............
Okay, lets just move on to the tutorial!

  You'll need:

  •       A 1' or 3/4' inch curling iron.. I recomened a 3/4 inch cause mines is 1 inch and that was a little to big!

  •       Some bobbing pins and hair pins

  •       A fancy headband or clip (I'll do both in my tutorial)

  •        Heat protection spray (which I didn't use,but highly recomend you buying)

  • And of course a brush!

Step 1:  Brush the hair smoothly and then part on the side.

Step 2: Seperate the hair into 2 section as shown below.

(small note you would actually like your hair about 2-3 inches shorter then shown above for this hair style to look like the photo I'm trying to base this one off of.)

Step 3: Take the back section brush it back towards yourself and gather at the nape of the neck and begin to twist upward and create a french twist, but instead of tucking the hair under the twist as you would usually do,secure you twist and leave the top/left over hair hang!

(Secure the bobbing pins along the edge of the hair that is twisted inward next to your other section of hair!)

Step 4 : Now that your twist is secure we'll work on the next section of hair!
You want to brush this section of hair towards you.
As shown below.

Step 5: Have your model hold it on the side of her head!
Then take the hair into 3 sections starting with the top. But don't let it seperate on the back where the twist is,keep it smooth and together!

Step 6: Take the top 2 scetion twist slightly and then shape into and 'O' and pin to the side of the head!

This is where the dry coarse hair doesn't work very well!
But you really could do almost anything with the extra hair! My model couldn't wait to be done,so I kind of hurried it up a little!

Step 7 : Take the 3rd small section and twist it and wrap around the 2 'O's...

Step 8 : Now let's return to the twist. Take a bunch of small section's from the leftover hair, spray with heat protection  and curl them into corkscrew curls with your cruling iron. Note: Make sure you ask your parent or gaurdians permission or are being supervised when using a hot curling iron!

Oh,and if you don't have a spray make sure your model has easy to curl hair, cause my models hair doesn't like to curl!

(Yes,I'm useing a different curling iron then the one I showed you cause I think our measuring of 1 inch has changed in the last 15 years, cause this is my moms old curling iron and its 1' as well as my new one,but just slightly smaller I think! :)

Step 9 : Add a fancy headband or clip and enjoy your hairstyle!

This actually would be a great hairstyle for Easter since it's coming up! :)

I personally like a clip better cause I wasn't very fond of the 2 'O's and the twist around!

=)

Well I hope this was easy to follow and fun to do!

My next hair tutorial will be "Black forest princess"
I used my imagination for this one,not for when I did the hairstyle, but what I invisioned what I would look like in the right setting, outfit, etc.....so I hope it will match up to it and I'll have the right lighting outside for photos!

It will probably be another month or 2 before the weather is right for it though!

Also for my monthly fashion challenges those will start next month and I decided to do both option 1 and option 2 each month I'll alternate! Since option 2 one by 1 vote! :)

Have a wonderful Thursday!
