Just think tomorrow I'll be writing 1/3/11 in my school notebooks! ;)
The church we are visiting had a pretty good sermon about the New Year today!
I took notes,so here we go!
Everyone is looking foreword they have all their new year resolutions written up (which they never finish what their goals are),but do you ever look back?!
What were the Good things of 2010?
What and how many prayers were answered in 2010?
What did you do with all of your time in 2010?
Is there anything you would change/wish you didn't do in the year 2010?
Last year did you make new year resolutions?
Did your new year resolutions work/did you complete them?
Here an important thing I never thought of (of course this really is the 1st year I'm making them)
Pray for determination while your doing your new year resolutions.
You need God to help you do them.
I thought of something a lot of people make new year resolutions, but how many of those people pray for Gods help to help them complete them! (like losing weight, not eating a lot of junk food, limiting T.V. and Internet etc....)
I'm sure a lot of people don't pray for that!
Another question that came up was,
What is your focus?
Is it for what you want?
Example: I want to make this,I want to get better at this.
Or is your focus on what God wants you to do?
What are the opportunities (to minister to others, a big need in my life, I get shy when talking to strangers.) that you were presented with daily?
In this new year pray about important decisions in your life?
Don't go based on what you think is what is right. You never know if God wants you to do something that you think wouldn't be a good idea, but God has a bigger plan and you don't see the bigger picture!
Whats going to change this year in way of relationships with your friends, siblings, parents.teachers?
People who made choices, but knew they were stupid (in a way,if you wanted to save your life the y would be stupid.)
3 men and a fiery furnace sound familiar! Those men must of stuck out like a sore thumb and knew what would happen if they didn't bow down to the gold god!But they trusted God and,so many people were affected in a good way by their decision that they decided to trust God while doing something that a commonsense/human sense would say is stupid!!
Another guy (actually the other guys buddy)
Daniel!
He was told not to pray, but he did and right in front of a window! I'm sure he knew someone would see him and I'm sure he was scared, but he made the decision to follow what God wanted him to do!
Know I'm sure you all may not be facing something like death, but maybe a loss of a friend or something!
What area in our lives do we need the holy spirits help in?
Pray about it and ask others to pray about it?
I know that I personal need pray about my spiritual life!
I struggle with taking time to study Gods word instead of just reading a quick chapter daily and later that night trying to remember if I read the Bible or not and remember reading it,but not remember exactly what I read about!
Resolutions aren't a bad thing, but they can be if your relying on yourself to complete them!

Friends!
My good friend Michaela.K and her family came over for dinner yesterday!(she's pretty much the person I ever have over/hang out with.)
We had fun! We played Apples to Apples, talked, and enjoyed each others company! :) and she got me a beautiful necklace. The pendant is a glass tear drop with a glass marble flaower inside that matches and scarf she also got me! Isn't she awesome! She also got me 3 notebooks! :)
lol,I haven't seen her in about 3 1/2 months,so it was good to have friends to hang out with!
Thank you everyone who has entered my photo contest,so far and I can't wait to see everyone elses! :)
