My sister and I recently watched Sense & Sensibility,besides "Emma" this is one of my favorite Jane Austen movies. I loved Marianne's hair in this 2008 version and what the hairstylists did with it,so I thought I would do a post on the hairstyles from this movie,mainly Marianne though.
If I did this that headband would keep falling off my head.
This was Mariannes everyday hairstyle,a simple bun,but her very curly hair makes it unique.
I'm going to a tea party/bridal shower and your supposed to dress in your tea party dress(I can't wait),so I decided to go in my regency dress and wear this hairstyle,I even have a matching headband.
I wish I had little hair to pull out in the front like that.
I noticed they pulled a section in the front to the side instead of straight back for this hairstyles.
What can you say about her hair,ummmm....'weird'.....
I did not like the Dashwoods, brother's wifes hair.
It looks like they pulled the front back into a small bun and added a headband.
Wish I had a better veiw.
*sighs* I can't wait until my hair is this length.

I totally loved this Marianne from the 2008 version versus Kate Winslet-Marianne.

I love the hairstyles of the 2008 Marianne, but her acting was not very true to the Marianne in the book. :( I prefer the Kate Winslet Marianne. :)
Another thing that I didn't exactly prefer about the newer Marianne was that they left her hair partially down a lot, which was not acurate for the time period. :(
But..
I still love this movie, because the scenery, costumes, and especially the music are all fantastic. :)

I like the simple bun which looks so nice with Marianne's curly hair (also like the style Elinor is wearing).
I've only seen the Sense & Sensibility version with Kate Winslet.
