A Highschool graduate! With only 14 days worth of 1 school subject left before I 'officially' finish highschool the reality of life is really hitting me. I'm an adult. I'm finishing school. I can be a college student. Yikes!! Life is scary folks. As I finished up my scrapbook last week I looked through it, starting when I was born until I reached the end. Life flies by so fast. Oh, the joy to be 5 yeas old again, care free not knowing the evil lurking in my small world I would find almost perfect.
As I looked at the last page of my scrapbook I wanted to write out sort of a graduation speech of sorts, so at 11:00pm at night I took out a pen and started writing.

"I want to thank God for every gift He has given me. I have been blessed beyond what I deserve with Christian parents and 8 siblings to grow up with as friends and classmates. He blessed me with awesome friends old and new. Life truly is a gift that I am realizing more and more. A gift.....one that I don't want to sit down and simply go through it. I want to live it to it's highest and fullest point, not only that, but I want to live it for Christ. We only get one chance to make an impact for Him. One chance as we go through this adventure called 'life' that I don't want to waste. There are people who need love that need to know they are loved and that over 2,000 years ago someone died for them and wants them. I want the rest of my life to glorify and point to Him in all that I do. He has given me so much and taken me on various journeys not all were smooth, but He carried me through the rough patches. Life is short. We don't always know how short, but I don't want to have regrets on things I wish I had done.Live life, Love people and point them to the light of Jesus Christ.
That is my mission for my life!
Don't waste Gods gift, use it!

I'm getting ready to end my sophomore year, but I know what you mean. High school is flying by way too fast!
Amen! I loved your speech, it is so true and inspired me! Congratulations, bestie!
So are you completely finished by now? It's crazy, we grow up faster than we think we will, and before you know it, you'll be 31 and old. (at least my younger sisters think I am old!)
I really like your blog, but I am not finding myself able to add it to my Feedly reader, which is how I keep track of the various blogs I follow. So I hope I don't miss reading when you write new posts!
