Violin a instrument after my own heart. =)
(a baby goat a few years ago...it was in the wood floored room where I was practicing I couldn't help, but take a photo of it in my case....)
I remember when I first started...my first lesson that it. I was nervous, but then I meant my amazing teacher who was sooooooo nice, kind and helpful. I remember going home all excited with what I learned in that 30 minute lesson.
I look back now,I was so excited to be starting after years of begging, lol,I was so squeaky,I can't believe my family put up with it. 4 years of playing,and............I'm still in love........ ♥.... Irish jigs are my favorite to play, (and to listen to I might add.) although I normally play classical. But there is something about watching your fingers move all over and hear the lively music of a traditional jig, making you want to leap and break out irish dancing (if only I knew how) to hear the sounds of Ireland's music ringing in my ears. (trust me that sounds nicer then I play, but still.... I love it.)
(isn't this amazing and beautiful..)
What type of instrument do you play? Any favorite songs or types of music?
4 thought(s) to note :
I play piano and I LOVE it! I have been playing for 6 or 7 years. I love playing classical and Celtic music. I have the Pride & Prejudice piano book, and that is really fun to play!
I sort of play piano (enough to sing along with by myself) and I play the violin. I don't think I love it as much as you do, though. :P But I do enjoy it. I just wish I had a different teacher, one who gave me more than just classical music. I love listening to Irish jigs and fiddling! Sometimes people ask me if I play the fiddle. I say not really; there is a difference between the fiddle and the violin: it all depends on how you play it. It sounds like you play both.
Great post! I love pictures of violins. :)
Cool blog!!
Oh this is one of my favorite posts yet! I love violin and have been playing it for about six months...I have to admit I am a little squeaky still but I just try to remind myself that practice makes perfect! By the way you have a beautiful violin! Soon I'll be getting full size..I can't wait!
