I am sooooooo upset,frustrated ect..........
My pony was being sooooooooo bad I feel like chopping him up and feed him to dogs!!!(that is a medifore I would never do that, cause that is just gross and cruel! )
He wouldn't stand still he was going in circles like I said before in my last updated post on him!! So I am sweaty, hot, and have a headache! I was outside for like 2 and 1/2 hours. 2 of those hours was when I couldn't make him lunge! : (
Encouragement anyone or any horse advice/encouragement?!?!?
I would really, really need encouragement, but I'm just,so happy about a certain giveaway I'll be having later today that's why I don't need it sooooo bad! But I still would love to hear from you(encouragement!)

5 thought(s) to note :
Well - I do not have a horse of my own, although I do help out with horses once a week. All I could think of is that he is afraid of the lunge whip and needed to be "sacked out" or he's plain stubborn. ;)
Keep trying! Don't let him win. ;)
I will be praying for you!
Don't give up! I've had many of those frustrating moments with both our horse and pony, but I think the thing that I have found helps the most is when you don't let the horse know that you are frustrated. If you get really annoyed to the point that you are mad at him, find one thing (even if it's a tiny thing!) that he'll do well, praise him for it, end on a good note, and take a break :) Then come back later and try again. I've found that when I'm frustrated, my cues aren't as clear and the horse gets confused.
I'm sure things will get better! Just keep at it! I feel that many times God uses my horse as a tool to teach me patience and perseverance :)
Hi! Just got your comment on my blog :) Had this pony ever been lunged before you got him? Maybe the training methods are different with every person, but I've always been taught that the horse is supposed to turn towards you when you tell them to whoa. So actually, I sort of get frustrated when my horse DOESN'T turn towards me. The way I'd learned it was that when you are having them move, you make the "triangle" and when you tell them to stop, you step out of the triangle in the direction of their head and they are supposed to turn towards you.
I hope you don't feel like I'm trying to tell you how to work with your horse, as I know everyone's methods are different (and that's ok!). It may be that your pony is just doing things the way that he was taught.
Ya, that sounds more like he's trying to be ornery! I know how frustrating that can be. Sorry my other comments weren't of much help :)
